Carol Pearce Bjorlie

Carol Pearce Bjorlie – Cello (Faculty Member Since 2014):  Carol holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Cello Performance from East Carolina University and a MFA in Writing from Hamline University.  She has over four decades of teaching and performing experience.  Carol has taught at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls, Rock Hill University, and Evans Junior High School in Spartanburg.  She has performed regularly with the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Charlotte Symphony, and the Charlotte Opera. As a writer, she continues to publish, most recently, a short story in July Literary Review, and a poem in a 2010 anthology, The Wind Blows, The Ice Breaks: Poems of Loss and Renewal by Minnesota Poets, from Nodin Press.  Her new book, Behind the Cello, was published in 2012 by Main Street Rag.
