Daily Dose of Music History (June 22, 2015): On this day in 1969, American singer, actress, Judy Garland passed away at age 47. She made more than two dozen films, played Dorothy in the 1939 film ‘Wizard Of Oz’, and sang ‘Over The Rainbow’ in the film, (voted the ‘Song Of The Century’ in a 2001 poll published in America). In 1961, her comeback album ‘Judy At Carnegie Hall’ reached #1 on the US album charts.
