The Folk Ensemble is a small group for student musicians who wish to experience all the facets of playing, rehearsing and performing with a real folk band.  Each band consists of three or more musicians.  The typical lineup of a band includes guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and a vocalist.  Other instruments can be added to any band.  Students are introduced to traditional and contemporary folk standards as well as improvisation.  Students of all instruments are welcome to participate in our Folk ensembles.  Attendance is mandatory for all rehearsals and performances.  All Folk Ensembles are coached by Tyler Cason (M.Ed.
