Jessica Walizer

Jessica Walizer – Piano (Faculty Member Since 2018): Jessica recently moved to Hendersonville from Pittsburgh where she was teaching individual and group piano at West Virginia University while completing her DMA studies. She has experience teaching K-12, as well as adults from beginners to advanced students in a variety of musical styles from classical to worship. In addition to teaching, her experience includes accompanist for her church, as well as orchestral and choir performances. Jessica graduated summa cum laude with a B.F.A. and B.A. from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania, culminating with a performance at Steinway Hall in New York City. Her graduate studies were completed at Duquesne University with a Master’s of Music in piano performance. She has held teaching assistantships at both Duquesne and West Virginia Universities. Her other interests and activities include Cub Scout leader, Vacation Bible School teacher, live theater, hiking, and kayaking. Besides faith and family, her greatest joy is sharing her passion and knowledge of music with others. Whether college prep, intermediate, or beginner, Jessica has a roadmap for obtaining your goals.
