John Bellno

John Bellino – Drums & Percussion (Faculty Member Since 2016):  John grew up in Buffalo N.Y. in a family of musicians and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Belmont Abby College.  During his High School years John was awarded the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State timpanist three years in a row. He decided to follow his love for music by studying in Boston at Berklee College of Music as a Jazz Performance major. Alongside his various school ensembles he performed with the Wellesley College Orchestra as timpanist.  After finishing his schooling in Boston, John moved west to Orange County C.A. where he spent the last 20 years in the Los Angeles area as a live and studio musician,  band director, drum teacher, and audio engineer. John has had the opportunity to perform and/or record with John Andrew Schriener, Alex Acuña, Bryan Duncan, Norm Stockton, Hugh Ferguson, the Long Beach Jazz Quartet, and many other well-known artists.  John lives near Greenville S.C. with his wife and three children where he and his wife spend their free time writing, producing, and recording original music in their home studio.
