Amy Bouman

Amy Bouman – Educational Representative, Violin (Faculty Member Since 2025): Amy Bouman completed her undergraduate studies at Gardner-Webb University and earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree. While at Gardner-Webb, she studied violin under Calin Lupanu, founded the Gardner-Webb Old Time Ensemble, and ran division one track and field.

In 2019, Amy became the Orchestra Director at North Henderson High School and Apple Valley Middle School. During her time in Hendersonville, she lead the Brio Ensemble, conducted the Middle School Berrian All-County Orchestra, and composed a piece that was featured in the High School Berrian Orchestra festival. In 2023, she moved to Charlotte and became the orchestra director for Hough High School and North Mecklenburg High School. While in Charlotte, she hosted the Western Regional Orchestra auditions. In 2025, she moved back to WNC where she enjoys composing music, fiddling, and running.
