Andrew Thelston

Andrew Thelston – Guitar, Ukulele, Bass (Faculty Member Since 2018): Born and raised in Western North Carolina, Andrew Thelston has played guitar for over 25 years and actively performs in a variety of popular groups.

In 2009, Andrew graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial and Electronic Music. While attending WCU, Andrew studied jazz with Pavlel Wlosok and began writing and  performing his own original music.  In 2019, Andrew’s original music was featured on a popular Netflix show.

In 2023, Andrew won best guitarist in the Best of WNC by Mountain Xpress and the Andrew Thelston Band was voted #1 favorite rock band in 2023 and 2024.

Andrew listens to and is well versed in a variety of musical genres,  He tailors his lessons according to his students interests, while delivering a quality musical education.
