Holidays & Closings

The Music Academy will be closed for in-person private music lessons due to inclement weather for Thursday, February 18, 2021. All private lessons will be held virtually. Music Academy faculty will reach out to their students to confirm their virtual lesson times today.

The Music Academy of WNC will be CLOSED today, Friday, January 8, 2021 for in-person private lessons. All lessons will be conducted on the student’s chosen online lesson format with their instructor. Students should reach out directly to their instructor with any connectivity questions. Stay safe and have a great weekend.

The Music Academy will be open on Friday, February 21, 2020 on a regular schedule. If road conditions prohibit travel to lessons then please contact your instructor directly to schedule a make-up lesson.

The Music Academy of WNC will be closed on Thursday, February 20, 2020 due to inclement weather.  There will be no private lessons, music classes, or ensembles.  Private lesson faculty will contact and schedule make-up lessons directly with their students.  Stay safe and warm.

The Music Academy will operate on a regular schedule today for Tuesday, January 29, 2019. If road conditions are too hazardous to travel in your area then please contact your instructor directly to schedule a make-up lesson. Drive safely and we will see you this afternoon.

The Music Academy of WNC will be closed Saturday, December 22, 2018 through Sunday, January 6, 2019 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.  There will be no private lessons, ensembles, or music classes held during these weeks.  We will reopen on January 7, 2019 on a regular schedule for all private lessons, ensembles, and music classes.  Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The Music Academy will operate on a regular schedule of Tuesday, December 11, 2018.  Students should contact their instructors directly to schedule make-up lessons if road conditions in their area are too hazardous for travel.

The Music Academy of WNC will be CLOSED on Monday, December 10, 2018 due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. Faculty members will call all students affected by this closing to schedule make-up lessons. Stay safe and warm.

We are regrading, landscaping, and pouring a new sidewalk in front of the Music Academy starting Monday, June 4, 2018. The front entrance to our building will be closed this entire week.

All faculty, staff, and students should park in the back parking lot and use the rear entrance to the building during this construction phase. The back parking lot can be accessed directly behind Joey’s Bagels on NC Hwy 191. There are signs on the back of our building that state this is additional parking for Joey’s Bagels but this is the parking lot we will use during this construction phase. Additional parking can also be found at the right front of our building and then walk around to the back entrance if the back parking lot is full.

The front entrance to our building will reopen on Monday, June 11, 2018. We apologize for any inconvenience during this construction phase.
