We are currently planning our Fall semester ensembles. If you play violin, viola, or cello and would like to participate in one of our student string quartets then let us know by contacting Mike Ridenour at 828-693-3726.   Our fall semester runs the weeks of September 14 – December 11, 2015. All string quartets will rehearse one hour each week over a 12-week semester. Rehearsal dates and times will be determined once we get a student head count. Tuition for the entire semester is $180.00. All string quartets are coached by Jan Daugherty. Please let us know if you are interested in this ensemble opportunity.

Here is our Academy String Quartet playing Handel at their recent concert at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Hendersonville, NC on Sunday, March 22, 2015.

The Music Academy Of WNC Academy String Quartet will perform a concert at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Hendersonville on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 4:00 PM.  The program includes works by Handel, Mozart, McLean, and others.  Tickets are $10.00 each and can be purchased HERE or at the door of the event.  All proceeds fund the Music Academy Scholarship Fund.

The Music Academy of WNC is offering five, full scholarships for our 2015 Rock Band Program.  These scholarships are offered to vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, and keyboardists to form a Premier level rock band to represent the Music Academy of WNC.  The band will meet weekly for rehearsals with Music Academy faculty, starting in February 2015, and perform around the Western North Carolina area by the summer.  Scholarships are awarded based on talent.  Please contact 828-693-3726 to schedule an audition time.  The Music Academy of WNC is located at 235 Duncan Hill Road in Hendersonville, North Carolina.  Please visit https://wncmusicacademy.com for more information about the Music Academy of WNC.
