The Music Academy will operate on a “Virtual Day” for all private music lessons via our online formats today, Saturday, January 11th, 2025. All online lessons will be held during the student’s regular lesson time according to our Studio Policies. Faculty members will email their students a lesson invitation to the email address we have on file before their lesson time. Students should check their spam folder if they have not received a lesson invitation in their INBOX. Please reach out to your teacher directly with any questions about your lesson. 2024 Holiday Closing Schedule

The Music Academy will be closed for all private lessons and classes the following holiday weeks.  These holiday weeks are not included in the monthly or semester tuition schedules so make-up lessons or classes do not apply for these weeks.

Thanksgiving Week:

Sunday, November 24th through Sunday, December 1st, 2024

Christmas & New Year’s Weeks:

Sunday, December 22, 2024 through Sunday, January 5th, 2025

2022 Holiday Closing Schedule

The Music Academy will be CLOSED for private lessons, ensembles, and classes the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day during the following dates:

Thanksgiving Week: Sunday November 20th – Sunday, November 27th, 2022
Christmas Week: Sunday, December 25th – Saturday, December 31st, 2022
New Year’s Day Week: Sunday, January 1st, 2023 – Sunday, January 8th, 2023

Holiday weeks are not included in the monthly tuition for private lessons so there will be no make-up lessons scheduled for these weeks.

Regular Schedule For Wednesday, January 19, 2022

The Music Academy of WNC will resume a regular schedule for in-person private music lessons, classes, and ensembles for Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

We realize road conditions may still affect some of our faculty and students from coming into the Music Academy today. Music Academy Faculty members still affected by road conditions will contact their students directly to schedule an online lesson on one of our supported formats at the student’s regularly scheduled lesson time. Students can also schedule a virtual lesson directly with their teacher if road conditions prohibit them from coming into the Music Academy for an in-person lesson.

Virtual Day For Tuesday, January 18, 2022 Due To Inclement Weather

The Music Academy of WNC will hold a “Virtual Day” due to inclement weather and close our facilities for in-person private music lessons, classes, and ensembles for Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Music Academy Faculty members will contact their students directly and conduct all lessons today on one of our supported online lesson formats at the student’s regularly scheduled lesson time. Students should review our online lesson formats, from our Studio Policies  (Paragraph 15), and discuss which one works best to connect with their teacher for today’s lesson. Stay warm and safe!
