NOW HIRING – Woodwinds Teacher (Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet: The Music Academy of Western North Carolina, located at 1430 Asheville Highway in Hendersonville, North Carolina, has an opening for a woodwinds teacher. Approximate start date is July 3, 2023. Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent in related field of study (Masters of Music degree is preferred), three years of teaching experience, and multiple years of active performing experience. The woodwinds teacher’s main responsibility will be to teach private students ranging from elementary to senior adult ages. Lesson time lengths range from 30, 45, and 60 minutes each. This is a contract position with an approximate $43.50/hr compensation. Flexible hours.

Keys To Piano Lesson Success Workshop By Steinway of the Carolinas

Keys To Piano Lesson Success!

Bob Kenney, Manager of Steinway Piano Gallery in Greenville, SC, will present a two-hour workshop for parents and piano students entitled “Keys To Piano Lesson Success” on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Music Academy.  During this workshop, Bob will discuss several important keys to make piano lessons more successful as well as introduce the Steinway Piano Rental Program.  This rental program is a wonderful way to get a Steinway-designed piano in your home at a very affordable price.  Bob will bring 7-8 pianos for students and parents to audition.  He will also go over the many advantages of becoming a Steinway Piano customer that you will not receive from other area piano dealerships.

This workshop has been completed.  Please check back for future workshops.

2022 Holiday Closing Schedule

The Music Academy will be CLOSED for private lessons, ensembles, and classes the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day during the following dates:

Thanksgiving Week: Sunday November 20th – Sunday, November 27th, 2022
Christmas Week: Sunday, December 25th – Saturday, December 31st, 2022
New Year’s Day Week: Sunday, January 1st, 2023 – Sunday, January 8th, 2023

Holiday weeks are not included in the monthly tuition for private lessons so there will be no make-up lessons scheduled for these weeks.
