We will be holding our annual spring recitals this coming Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening in the performance room at the Music Academy of WNC. We are very proud of all of our students, their hard work, and dedication and look forward to hearing them perform this weekend.
One of our advanced viola students, Daphne Bickley. has been accepted into the summer music program at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. The Curtis Institute is one of the premier music conservatories in the country. She needs to raise approximately $5,800.00 to attend and $4,800.00 is due by March 1st . If funds are not raised by that time then she will miss this critical opportunity in her music education as she pursues a career in music performance. The Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist Competition will be held this afternoon at Blue Ridge Community College. We would like to wish two of our Music Academy string students, Joah Bickley (violin) and Daphne Bickley (viola), the best of luck in today’s competition. We are very proud of your musical accomplishments.
